Inspiration? Why us women of course and the never ending question of I wonder what I would look like with a different hair style.?
So with only two models I have managed to create various different looks to indulge, that never ending question that we always ask ourselves. I wonder what I would look like with...?
Let's play!!
In this collection of images I have used clip in fringes and hair wefts. I believe these can and should be an add on in any hair styling home kit. I also endorse using these hair accessories I use ones that are completely sustainable and reusable. Also these are a safe choice especially if you are allergic to hair colouring.
Haven’t we all thought about having a fringe? Or would love to try another new hair colour not sure how it would look? I am going to go through each look to explain how I have created these to inspire you to have a go too!
The demin styling look created a wonderfully classic yet chic tone to the collection. The label that we have used for this shoot is a B corp fashion label called Outland Denim which is a brand based in the Gold Coast Hinterland, dedicated to uplifting people and planet. .Outland Denim is a certified B corp and carbon neutral brand, ethically made using organic cotton, zero harmful chemicals & fights for human rights.

Amber! Beautiful Amber!
First look on Amber just hails chic glamour! Her smile and fallen out curls I added a clip in fringe. That was pre blow waved creating the butterfly fringe which is, so hot right now!
How stunning is this?? This is one of our core insalon images.
Effortlessly beautiful! Oh la la
Amber's second look is bit more edge with a k rd flick.
I added in some coloured hair wefts through the sides of the hair to create texture, then I just pulled the fringe clip in back off her forehead and recliped back in creating this shorter fringe. Just like that, a total new look!
Amber's natural hair without a fringe with no hair colour!
I created this look by blow drying with a round brush the finished by using a hot tong then brushed out the curls lightly giving her hair this carefree feel.
Ella cool as f$%k ..........Ella
1st Picure of Ella was all about her natural hair texture. I created this by gently removing weight from the hair it has given seamless layers without having the stop start feel that many women with straight hair have to contend with.
When this cutting technique is done correctly it does make your hair longer and thicker...so chic!
I created next on Ella, a more urban street look using Krd as hair inspo! By adding a micro bang clip in. I clipped her hair up at the back while leaving out long pieces of her hair a new twist on wearing an up do,
I placed in some hair wefts at the back of Ella's Hair to add some colour I pulled the top and sides of her hair back using bobby pins but allowed fringe strands to fall down over her face, a nod to current on street hair trends we see walking past Gilt.
I believe that Ella actually popped on this hair weft first and we just ran with it! Pure moment of spontaneity that has a gripping edge it reminds me of the chelsea haircut in the film "This is England."
Ella pulls it off brilliantly while being seductive and punk as F.
This is another one of our core in salon pictures as I felt is represented Gilt perfectly!!
Here I was aiming for a lux beauty shot, I believe for Ella it was a novelty to see her self as a blonde and of course she give it full force down the lense.
Editorial excellence. Bliss.
All I did to create this look was add a blonde fringe hair piece while clipping the rest of hair back with hair bobby pins.
Ella's final look real hair wig.
As the hydro bob is back in full force I decided to play around with this blonde wig.
To achieve this amazing late 80's early 90's wet look all I did was spray the wig down with a misty water spray which gave this incredible hair texture then of course Ella added her magic and we got this golden nugget of a shot!
Side note: Genuinely when a hair salon releases a hair campaign it is geared up for competitive competitions . I have decided to shun that mentality for Gilts first campaign that has a total of 9 images which are broken into a series of three images within the original campaign of 9 images.. I have noted a lot of the hair work required for competitions is wig based.
Not many clients come into the salon wearing wigs, hence why I have decided not to entertain colourful wigs in each look bar one in this collection.
People want to see what their hairdressers can create on actual hair.
